Buddhist practitioners who have adoptedtheLojong mind training teaching may benefit from havingperiodicreminders arrive in their phone's status bar. Lojong Cardsprovidesfor a continuous stream of notifications (once a day atmost) whichdisplay one of the Lojong slogans on a decorative cardhoveringover the currently active application.Frequency of the notifications is once a day, or once every1-5days (a number selected at random.) Users may loosely controlthetime of day when the notification is received (earlymorning,daytime, or evening.) The cards may be delivered incanonical orderor shuffled order.The cards may also be viewed in a scrolling list of all59slogans. Included on the instruction screen are a listofrecommended books (with Amazon links) on the subject of LojongMindTraining.A web search on the text of any card may be launched fromthecard displays.This app uses Android's Alarm Manager to schedulethenotifications. When the alarm is triggered, the notificationissent and the next alarm time is calculated and set. Rebootingyourphone will now restart the notifications schedule if it wasactivewhen you powered down. It will not open the app's UI onreboot.
